I was a choir boy there from about 1946 or 7, when I helped with the damage restoration. There was a large hole in the floor, Altar end of the right hand pews. The vicar then was Reggie Brown, I went as a chorister to his wedding. We were 'paid' about half a crown (13p) every few weeks which we spent over the road in Mattie Wilson's shop for sweets. Ah, those were the days!!
